Roe & Co are celebrating in style after receiving two gold awards in the Best Estate Agent Guide 2026. The awards, picked up at the ceremony in London earlier this month, have placed our Bolton-based agency firmly in the top 2% of estate agents across the entire UK.
The independent awards recognised Roe & Co as ‘Exceptional’ in both sales and lettings divisions.
Independently assessed, performance-based estate agent awards
Founded in 2017, the Best Estate Agent Guide Awards represent the most comprehensive review of UK estate and letting agents. This year, over 13,080 estate agencies were independently assessed using millions of pieces of data from over 4,500 sources.
What makes these awards unique is that agencies cannot enter or pay to be included. The assessors actively seek out the best performers based on hard data and genuine customer feedback, reviewing 2,230,000 sales triggers and 1,777,000 lettings triggers to identify exceptional agencies.
Agencies are measured against 14 detailed criteria including how quickly properties sell or let compared to competitors, fall-through rates, the ratio of asking price to achieved price, market share growth and customer satisfaction levels.
To achieve a gold award and ‘Exceptional’ rating, agencies must deliver the best results in selling and/or lettings. Only a small percentage of assessed agencies reach this top tier. Roe & Co are over the moon to have been rated as exceptional in both areas.

2025 – a year of recognition
The Best Estate Agent Guide gold awards cap off a brilliant year for Roe & Co, which also received the top customer service award from ESTAS 2025, being named as best estate agent in the BL1 postcode.
The agency’s fantastic colleague Sue McDermott was also shortlisted for two ESTAS People Awards, making the list of just 60 individuals recognised UK-wide for outstanding customer service.
